Cut out and study the vocabulary words for Lesson 16. Level B students should remember to find similar words to write onto the backs of the vocabulary cards.
Then complete the Sword and the Stone story by putting it into Rough Draft Form with the attached Checklist from page 118. (Yes, I did say in class to go ahead and do the Final Draft, but I did change my mind. Many students did not complete the 3rd paragraph in class, and I want to give extra time to really be extra thorough with all the elements of the story.)
You will exchange stories in class this Friday and critique each others' paper for the elements and for making suggestions to improve them. Therefore, be sure to underline and label the elements appropriately.
