All students should write a complete rough draft using paragraph 1 on page 32. Incorporate the brainstorming words and phrases from the class activity on page 36. Remember, your completed OUTLINE is your springboard for writing the paragraph.
Level B should also brainstorm using page 37. This is in preparation for the other paragraphs that are NOT being written at this point.
On Tuesday, I will send home a vocabulary test to be returned next Friday. A few students have been studiously studying their vocabulary; in fact, our youngest student clearly outshone EVERYONE present in class today ... Congratulations, Jacob! You are reaping a reward of diligent study. I include this information knowing that weekends do not normally provide as much work time as the middle of the week, but I am giving a heads up to the fact that some students may have been thus far neglecting their vocabulary study and may want to get an earlier start preparing for next week's test.
