Mini Research Paper Rough Draft

All students should, by Friday, complete the whole body of the mini research paper as a Rough Draft.  Each part of the body of the paper should be created from the fused outlines that have already been completed from pages 75, 78, and 80.

Please note that the page 80 fused outline could not have yet been completed IF the student did not research Topic C from another source outside of the textbook.  Therefore, they should do this FIRST if it has not been done.

Level A students should note the instructions for Topic B in the text: this lightens the load for you.

Finally, the last part of the Rough Draft should be the writing of an Introductory Paragraph and a Concluding Paragraph as explained in Lesson 12 of the text.  Refer to this teaching if more review is needed.  Use page 85 to help you write these additional paragraphs.  Also, use the Rough Checklists on page 86 to ensure these paragraphs contain the needed elements.

Use the process: the writing should flow freely from the outlines already completed, and the information has been reviewed repeatedly, making it very familiar, so enjoy the journey of writing.

No additional vocabulary will be pursued at this point; we may pick that up on Friday as the writing should occupy your attention this week.
